I just looked for the instructions on my computer but it didn't show up... (it was on one or two computers back...) It was pretty scary because you needed to move the PTO lever to a certain point where it would sound like it was hitting the turning shaft (without using the clutch). Think "jamming it into gear"... At that point was where the "mashing" gears were to meet up.

But I don't remember (or know where the instructions went) as to how far down between the "On" and "Off" that was but it was a specific spot. I'm GUESSING it was right at the front of the lever was to reach the PTO engagement line.

I'll try and up load what I'm saying....

When I put mine back together I devised my own method. I disconnected the return spring so I had better feel of what was going on. Then with the tractor running and the pto engaged, I tightened the cable until I could "feel" the arm scraping in the slot of the cam. Then I backed of the tension one turn of the adjusting nuts.
