Just got back from working out of town and will get back to this hydraulic repair next week (after getting another 40" hyd line w/SAE straight x SAE 90). The problem I am having is a very sudden, very high, pressure when lifting FEL boom fully up causing hyd pump to crack. After I replaced the pump it happened again, but this time the CV cracked.
I bought this L245DT a few months back from a tractor mechanic who told me that it had hyd issues, but didn't say what they were. This is turning out to be a costly education for me; but well worth it. And I hope to share this so that others on this forum can get the same info without the same expense.
My plan at this point (thanks to help from NIWolfman) is to add a 3rd line from the FEL CV back to the tank. Currently it has T going to HPCO (aka PB) on the CV.
I will do it next week and post the results after a few hours (or days) of FEL operation.
