I need some help. I have this KXO 40–4 excavator has a PO 193 code that won’t go away after I fixed all the wiring problems and replace the fuel rail sensor soon as you turn the key on the code set please help.

  • P0193 on the KX040-4 D1803-CR-TE4-BH is a high-side rail pressure sensor abnormality. The DM lists the set condition as rail pressure sensor voltage 3.235 V or above with normal battery voltage and sensor supply voltage.
  • Check the Ground, + voltage, and sensor voltage at the switch connector.
  • The listed detection items are sensor/harness open circuit, +B short circuit, or sensor failure, so the harness and connector should be checked before replacing components.

I did all that and My sensor voltage is .32 volts and 5 volts on feed wire and good ground with ohm meter also replaced sensor and still has same issue when turning on the key the only other thing is maybe a stuck fuel regulator or suction pump

Does he need the sensor serial number programmed into the ECU (or whatever the computer is called on the excavator)?

Unless you made a huge typo, you have your answer.

My sensor voltage is .32 volts
Rail pressure sensor voltage 3.235 V or above

.32 volts
is way under that number.

not a typo that is the reading .32 volts I checked continuity yesterday and the wire which is yellow in this case from the ECU harness to the connector to the fuel rail sensor was clear as was the ground was also had good continuity and I had 5 V on the feed wire to the All to the fuel rail center, and I replaced the fuel rail center

Which that’s why I think it might be that terminal is not putting out what it’s supposed to be from the ECU. I had it repaired from a company in New York. It was $350. I sent it to him. They cleared the 19 code I had on it that was that one was latched onto the computer from being set for a couple three years and then the two showed up code 2, which we found out was PO 193 and I’ve checked the wires multiple

Did you confirm that you have the .32 volts all the way back to the PCM? If so, I think you'll need a scanner to see what the computer is thinking it is seeing as you might have a problem in the PCM itself.

Please allow me to show my ignorance. If the sensor voltage is .32 and needs to be >3.2v, doesn't that show that the fuel rail pressure is low? Pump, regulator, excessive leak off?

As I read @whitetiger sensor value must be less than 3 2v. Anything above that sets the error.

Yes I just got done checking everything again i even ran new wires externally from the sensor to the PCM and didn’t seem to help any although I did get different readings them with the new sensor on with the old sensor I put in and I got nothing so I’m sure the old sensor is bad. I just it’s cold out. I didn’t wanna work on it anymore today so I have a new rebuilt rail coming on 6 November. I’ll see what happens with that and I think I’m going to send the east PCM back to the guys that fixed it before I just don’t think I’m getting the right to get out of that terminal so thanks for all your help. I’ll keep you posted. I just don’t know what else it could be unless there’s something else in loop with that rail center to make the fuel pumps run

Help me understand. Why do you think the sensor is bad?

I assume the "east PCM' is code for ECU, as your excavator has no PCM in any direction.
Is your fix-it shop certified by Kubota so they have the correct programs? I have never heard of one for their ECU's.

I have a new rebuilt rail coming
A rebuilt high-pressure fuel rail??????

I think there are too many cooks in the kitchen!

Your information is reading like a really bad scrambled egg recipe!

Quality Dirt Works, you get one retry at not just yelling profanities at everyone!
Clean it up or leave.

I'm the one that said this sounds like scrambled eggs, and it does, not @whitetiger, he was just trying to help.
Doing so many different off the wall repairs, makes it incredibly hard for any of us to help you out.
There is too many variables that are now unknown.
