I do not want the neighbours children to be chopped up by the cutting deck after I fell off the tractor when doing a turn too fast.

I would only disable them briefly for testing which I do not have to do any more after adding indicators for each switch.

Sounds like a Nanny State Status Panel :p
Are you listening Kubota?

It took me ages to check the safety switches initially and people repairing the tractors mentioned that those switches are often the problem. So when I did my own combination box electronics I simply added a few LEDs showing the inputs and outputs.

Finding a fault now is only a question of seconds. Also, if the tractor does not start, it gives you the reason in a blink code in the pre-glow light. And i added an override function that allows starting the tractor despite safety switches active to drive it to the work shop.

You find details here: G1900 combination box electronics

All the newer tractors have LC displays, it would cost virtually nothing to add a test function to display the switch status. I would imagine it exists already, just not accessible to the operator.

Agreed.

Tough to fall out of the seat when seat belt fastened, something that one should nearly always do, defeated OP switch or otherwise.

My Neighbors L6060 was shutting off after a few minutes .

We finally figured out it was the pull apart connector for the electric fuel pump .

The pump was only running every so often and the Tractor was slowly running out of fuel.

I once had a new MF 2635 that was delivered with a similar problem.

Electrical connection to lift pump was intermittant and engine would occassionally loose power and sometimes start blowing white smoke. Of course, it would run fine when trying to diagnose it.

Eventually, it failed significantly enough that it could be diagnosed.

FWIW, this new tractor was delivered with several obvious problems as dealer had taken MFs PDI money but had done absolutely nothing.
