FEL bucket - 6 or 7 foot

Bigger is ALWAYS better, this is America. IF you dont like it you can leave! . But seriously, I can think of uses where every bucket size would be best. A 5 might be best for digging and scraping, a 6 for tighter spaces and real dense heavy stuff, a 7 for heavy but not super heavy stuff like shale gravel and dirt, an 8 for cleaning up branches and moving light stuff like mulch....I probably have to pick two for now.......

I'd forgo the 8' for a grapple, I may get to try my claw-style on some rip-rap.

Yeah good point. According to the manual, the M6060/7060 is 73 inches wide.

Kubota does the whole FEL bucket thing kinda strange with not a lot of options. If you look at the LA1065 loader, they list 3 bucket options, the L2235A which is 72" sq back, L2236 which is 72" light material, and L2296 which is 72" heavy duty. They appear to offer two options for the LA1154 loader which are the M1811 72" and the M1815 83" light material. Strange they dont offer more options than that. The M1811 appears to have more capacity than all the LA1065 options despite all being the same width. i guess they dont offer a 84" heavy duty bucket. Maybe ill just get it without the bucket and buy the bucket elsewhere.

My M6060 came with the M1811 bucket and my MX6000 came with the L2296 bucket and a bolt on cutting edge. I bought an EA Wicked bolt on cutting edge which I installed on the MX bucket and moved the factory bolt on smooth edge to the M6060 bucket (after I drilled 11 holes). I don't have an issue with either bucket and find the width to be perfect, but the L2296 M1811 sure holds more material.

The bucket that came on the M6060 holds more material is what I meant to say . So the M1811 holds more than the L2296. I've used both buckets on both tractors since they have different cutting edges and the smooth edge works better on the asphalt driveway.
