This is of a personal nature, but I laugh every time I think about it, so I thought it might fit the daily chuckle thread. Especially since in high school, I was the nightmare student in English class. I did graduate from a four year university, so I improved in that regard. Health issues related to my wife somehow caused me to start writing poetry a few months ago if that’s what you call it…

Memories

We often have nice memories

Of times of days now gone

One that always stays with me

Relates to a little fawn



I was at the end of the house

That that looks down on our pond

My wife was at the other end

In the kitchen looking on



She always enjoyed wildlife

I thought I’d let her know

Perhaps she’d want to come over

And look at nature’s show



Deer deer I exclaimed

Thinking she would like to see

Get your own BEER she replied

Can’t you see I am too busy!
