Following concern from @North Idaho Wolfman over the state of the rear axles on my B7200 I ordered axles and hubs from Mossy Creek Outdoors for a fraction of the new price. Thanks again Daryl @Mountainman.

11 days from placing the order to be shipped to regional Victoria in Australia is pretty amazing. It can often take that long to so things within Australia.

I've also got new seals that I'll fit at the same time. And there's also the 3-point seals in the box waiting to be fitted.

It's not quite the next project - I'm in the process of converting my loader valve to a joystick. I was going to buy a joystick valve, but where's the fun in that ?

Check the colters as this one is in backwards!
The tappers should be towards the axle.
They might be double sided tapers?

I pulled the bolt and 2 cotters out from one of the hubs today. They are tapered on both sides, but they only have the hex section to hold the bolt head on one side.

Also noticed on one that I removed what appears to be a fair amount of wear on the surface of one cotter. This left a small knob that was sitting into one of the holes in the axle, maybe from being loose for a long time ?

I don't think it's a problem as the other side still looks new and I should be able to avoid that slightly worn section of the axle. I guess it's important that they are kept tight so that there's no movement ? Sound fair ?

That’s a pretty solid turnaround time to Australia. Sounds like you scored a good deal on the axles and hubs too. Definitely smart to do the seals while everything’s apart. And honestly, modifying the existing loader valve into a joystick setup sounds way more interesting than just bolting on a new valve. Half the fun is figuring it out yourself.
Thanks Stephen. Modifying the valve is absolutely more fun.
