I have a 2020 RTV-X1100C - I only have 120 hours on it since new in 2021 - I mostly only use to plow my 700' driveway so not a lot of hours. I did change the oil filter at 50 hours and again at 73 hours in 2024 and have changed the oil at intervals between filter changes. My question is this all unnecessary as the maintenance guide only requires oil and filter change every 200 hours with no times listed. 200 hours would probably take me 10 to 12 years. And its not like they don't list time intervals for other maintenance items. The air cleaner element is listed at replace every 1,000 hours OR 1 YEAR - even if you don't put on any hours?. There's also the antifreeze at 2,000 hours or 2 YEARS - so much for "LONG LIFE". And a multitude of other required maintenance like fuel lines, brake lines, hoses, seals, fluids etc. that would cost a small fortune to do every 2 to 4 years. But no time limit on the engine oil.

I pretty much "wing it" with some of my less used stuff.

So, if I only put 20 hours on something per year, I will still change the oil at the 2 year mark.....Or something similar.....but there are exceptions, like my boat.

For the boat, I change it yearly, even though I never hit the hour mark. (Oh..... and I only use Yama-lube Synthetic oil ;) )

For coolants, I generally will go 4 or 5 years.

I wouldn't wait 10 years to hit the "hour mark" though....I would still change it yearly or possibly Bi-Yearly.

IIRC my G2160 is asking for oil change every 50 hrs and filter at 200 or 250. Mine too does not see a lot of long run time. I did a full O&F last spring IIRC (2025) and since I've only put maybe 65-75 hours on it. So I've just been sucking the oil out and putting fresh T6 in it. So I'll likely do the full O&F next fall
