    Buying advice and pricing :)

I would skip over the idea of the MMM. Unless you always have it on the tractor you are not saving space in your barn. And just keep a the JD mower. Assuming they are ride on models. For that size I would definitely consider hydro over gear drive. Most smaller gear drive machines have a live...

    2022 M7060 - any concerns

Yes that’s quite a bit more with a cab and rim guard instead of water. Water is just fine for my climate for ballast but shows a difference of how much more weight can be utilized with different products. It did actually stay below freezing for the past few days but I was stuck at work, I doubt...

Best tool to raise and hold tire to install

I changed all 4 on my M series when I bought a set of like new wide radials. Just used a bottle jack to get the right height, rolled the tire on place and rotated the axle shaft as needed. No need to lift the tire off the ground.

    2022 M7060 - any concerns

If you can swing it definitely get the 12 speed. I have a M6040 8 speed and there is a big jump in speed between L3 and L4 at PTO speed using a bush hog. It’s doable, but more gears the better. The 12 speed gears are more evenly spaced. Only negative is the 12 speed uses a parking gear and...

    Looking at Hoes

First I have heard that. I haven’t seen anything in the brochures about it but only looked briefly. Called a few places yesterday about some used 040’s and what I’ve ran into now they will only finance with an existing business. So I’ll have to figure that out.

    Looking at Hoes

Yes we have already established that. Looking into the possibility of buying one larger and doing side work. New or used? For tax reasons? I see a lot of this mentioned but no real good explanation. Either pay new price with 0% or way lower price with interest. It seems to work out that it’s...

    Looking at Hoes

Yes I have seen that. Older rough shape but running condition excavators for around 30k. I would need to move it so that’s why I mentioned to stay under about 15k lbs. I don’t have a lowboy and don’t plan on getting one unless I can make money with it. Found some KX’s within driving distance...

    Looking at Hoes

I was thinking 25k tops. Looking around I’m close to Kubota mini territory.

    Looking at Hoes

Yes I am looking at 2wd versions. I’m seeing some minis in my price range that weigh 6-7k lbs. Trying to research different models of them. Side note John Deere’s model numbers do not make sense to me. Just looking at backhoes and minis model numbers are not what I’m used to. Same number is...

Can my LX2620 handle this attachment?

If you have the tractor buy implements for it, no need to buy implements for an ATV. This type of implement needs weight to work well. I’ll add for the LX2620, rear lift capacity is 2139lbs. And the LA535 loader is 1067lbs. Use that information how you please.

Can my LX2620 handle this attachment?

I agree with that last sentence. I wouldn’t say a crimper has significant rolling resistance though. It’s literally a wheel with bearings, it rolls over standing grasses. You brought up having less weight on the front wheels with this. Which I mentioned the leverage with the length of a rotary...

Can my LX2620 handle this attachment?

It doesn’t have to be filled with water if it’s not needed to crimp. Also it is tucked closer to the rear of the tractor so it will not have the same leverage as a rotary cutter.

    Looking at Hoes

Yes rubber tire backhoe. It seems you get more value with them, lifting capacity and backhoe reach and depth especially compared to a Mini Ex. Older backhoes range from 10-15k that are fully operational where 5 ton minis are almost double that. Might just be the time of the year or my area for...

    Looking at Hoes

Not considering a 3pt model that’s why I specifically mentioned the BH92. The only Minis I’ve seen for sale are really rough rental units that cost more than a tractor with a BH. They might work better for some tasks but I think a backhoe would be better for travel speed.

    Looking at Hoes

Not necessarily Kubota related but pondering the idea of buying an older backhoe. Any suggestions on what models to focus on and which ones to avoid? Anything under about 15k lbs. Thought about selling my MX and going with a large L or even MX HST with a BH92 backhoe but the few I’ve seen for...
