    Leaf blower

A mist blower---that's some ingenuity and thinking outside the box right there! I wasn't even sure what a mist blower was besides those fans you hook up to the water hose. Thinking back on it, as a kid, I remember the trucks coming through the neighborhood spraying for mosquitos with the big...

    techno geeks

If I get a call from a number that's not in my contacts, I don't answer. If they really want to talk to me, they'll leave a message. If they do leave a message and it's some sort of scammer BS, I block the number.

    Broke throttle bar

I've seen that before a few times. Every time it was caused by the operator having the friction set too high on the throttle. Not saying that's what caused it here---just what I've seen on the internet so it has to be true.

Handgun and Rifle shooting bench ideas

If I had enough space for a permanent bench, I'd build one; most likely a "T" shaped one with seats on both sides at the bottom of the T. Lots and lots of shooting bench photos and plans online that you could easily scale up to fit your needs. I've also seen several plans and photos for...

Doing the 50 hr service today on BX23S...

There is some discrepancy in the owner's manuals as far as changing the hydraulic fluid. Some older ones said to do it at 50, some newer ones said 400. I changed it all at 50. My screen was quite gunked up with RTV particles.

    Biobor

GeoHorn's post was absolutely topnotch. Having spent over thirty years in the commercial nuclear power industry and adding Biobor JF to every single tanker truckload (as well as a doing a lot of diesel specific chemistry analysis) prior to them being offloaded into the Emergency Diesel Storage...

    Leaf blower

Try blowing leaves on a couple acres with copious amounts of hardwood trees with that and let us know how well it does. (FWIW, I have both gas and battery operated handheld blowers. They're fine for blowing off the deck, patio, or the driveway, but they don't come close to cutting it on big jobs.)

    Ideas/Advice stray dogs

I hate to shoot a dog, also, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. If you have any kind of county animal control, they should be able to provide you traps free of charge to at least try to catch the offenders.

Thinking about under fence weed control

It's not "poison" in the sense I took the OP's statement. That is, it's not glyphosate, 2-4d, triclopyr, etc., etc., etc. Gimme a break. You know what I meant and what the OP meant. I'm going to have an apple.

Thinking about under fence weed control

30% vinegar, salt, and some Dawn make an excellent weed killer. Yeah, ya gotta spray it and I don't know how well it would work on honeysuckle, but it's not poison.

    finishing mower

According to this video, it should raise and lower with the 3pt.

    finishing mower

Not sure what you mean by not being hydraulically controlled----does it not raise and lower with the 3 pt? In any case, rear finishing mowers (with rear discharge) are great (IMO) as long as you don't have any or only a few obstacles to mow around. Too many trees, out buildings, etc. for me to...
