Grader-style snow push for Zero Turn

My apologies if this is a topic that's been discussed on here already. My teenage brother is wanting to make a few bucks clearing snow with his zero turn, and I'm thinking about what would best suit his needs. He's on a Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1 (I know, wrong colour, but we can't all afford Orange...

Wheel spacers on a bx23s with 60" mower deck

Do you notice a real difference with just the 1.5" spacers? I know it's a small wheelbase, but still, that feels like so little. And if so, where would you notice the extra stability most? i.e. rough terrain, steep slopes (such as ditches), or perhaps elsewhere?

    Trailer tire rant/advice

I've got a 20' car hauler and a 14' dump trailer, both tandem 7k# axles. Both sit outside, the car hauler puts on miles most days in summer, and the dump trailer puts on a decent number hauling firewood in winter (plus the odd job in summer time). The tires that came with the dump trailer were...

Adapting implements to Cat 1, 3-point quick hitch for bx-2680

Thanks for this point PHPaul. My BX has very little adjustment available for the 3pt hitch, so it's a real pain hooking up without the quick hitch. Once I got good at it I could swap over in about a half hour on decent concrete, but was a sweaty ordeal involving pry bars and sometimes hammers...

    Too many choices

Lots of good points here. I would add, I have the R14 tires on my BX, and while I don't mow the nice part of my yard with it (I have a separate machine with a finish mower, so only use the BX to rough cut or 'bush hog' as you American's like to say). So take my opinion with a grain of salt if...

Is it safe to flip backhoe hoses?

I would agree wholeheartedly with Shawn. I learned on excavator controls, then got my backhoe and had to relearn. Took me a while before I was confident working tight up against a nice house, but I will and do regularly now. And when I do sit down now in an excavator, it takes me a couple...

    SSV65 counter weights

Thanks for your reply, that's most helpful!

    SSV65 counter weights

Hey folks. I'm working with a SSV65 that has more lift than weight to back it up. I understand I can get 50lb weights for the rear of this machine straight from Kubota. 100lbs (50 on each side) doesn't seem like much when stacked against a heavy bale at max lift height. Can a guy put two or...
