I grease every fuel up (about 12 hours) and I know it takes about 3 pumps for my machine. If you grease yours regularly you will figure out how many pumps it takes on your machine.
If you see globs of grease on the floor after you are finished then its too much.
yes, but only after the entire cavity is filled. Most dealers don't put enough grease in them and Kubota doesn't ship them with a lot of grease in them. When I was doing them professionally, the dealer only allowed a certain amount of grease/fluids/oils/etc to be used, so on something like the bigger ZD series mowers, if I wanted them greased properly, I had to buy the grease myself. Using a pneumatic grease gun, it would still take time to fill them all up. And almost a full tube of grease-per mower.
yes hit it until it starts to ooze out of the upper seal under the pulley. From then on, it won't take much grease each time, a few pumps at the most, til it stars to ooze out.
