Watching some other stuff at a local(ish) auction, but curious if anyone knows what model this Deere is. I realize there is some obvious flaws with it
I think you may be on it, and it makes sense with some of the other equipment up for sale. From the front axle and frame cutout for the axle I think its more likely to be something like a 401B, Hwy dept or industrial type tractor.

Good job! I would agree.I am learning towards a 301A like the second picture showing the front axle, but painted green and the down to the rear exhaust like the first picture. Doesn’t look like it has heavy enough wheels and front axle to be a 401. We used to buy 401 with loader on it to use on the farm for cleaning barns and loading the feed wagon. They were tough machines.

I had that thought as well. Won’t be able to make the auction in person now, so it would have to be pretty cheap for me to entertain itI know a guy here local that thought he was buying a JD at an auction. FROM 10 away it looks just like any other JD tractor you typically see. After awhile of owning he needed some parts to get it back to running. That was a few years ago and its still parked. He found out its a European model and some of what he needs not available. I don't understand why but thats his story.
