I did get a bill from Timex several days ago. (via PayPal) A big whopping $30 charge.
I noticed on the Timex repairs website that they no longer would accept checks.
If you didn't have a PayPal account, PayPal will process a credit card transaction for those without PayPal.
I hope the Timex watch is enjoying the Asian vacation!

This Omega watch will be 20 years old this year. I bought it at LAX duty free in 2005 on my way to the UK and paid $2,700 for it give or take. It's a first generation Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean with the co-axial movement so only COSC certified and not METAS certified like the current third generation Planet Ocean watches. Interestingly, Omega purchased the movement (2500C) from ETA but made their own in-house movement for the second generation of co-axial watches, and of course the third generation. It wasn't my first Omega nor my last, but it has been a great watch these past 20 years.

I managed to damage the bezel one year when I was in Las Vegas for the Shot Show. I thrust my arm out to prevent an elevator door from closing and the doors caught the watch in such a way as to break the bezel spring. I sent it to Omega to be serviced and to have the bezel fixed.

When the second generation Planet Oceans came out, Omega replaced the stainless steel case back with a sapphire crystal. I miss the stunning seahorse and engraving on the case back even if it's not visible most of the time.

Here's my first Omega watch that my brother bought for me around the year 2000. It's a quartz model so battery powered and it was incredibly accurate. I wore it for about 10 years before selling it. It was always a bit small on my wrist. I like 43mm to 45mm case sizes, and I prefer the upper end of that range.

I had a small package arrive today via FedEx.
The return address was Cebu, Philippines.
Inside the package, my Timex watch and now back from the Asian vacation!
Once out of the box, the first thing I did was test the Indi-Glo feature, and it worked!

The paperwork said the rotating bezel, and crystal (mineral) were no longer available.
The watch is ~ 20 years old.
The watch movement was replaced and they installed another new battery. They also cleaned it.
I am guessing here now, the Indi-Glo illumination feature is apparently integrated in the movement.

I can live with the rotating bezel not being replaced, the small triangular "chunk" that glows in the
dark apparently fell out when they cleaned the watch case and bracelet.

And the mineral crystal only has a very small number of small scratches, not very bad cosmetically at all.

Outstanding service for a ~ 20 year old Timex watch, for the grand total of $30, shipping included.

I will get a photo of the Indi-Glo feature posted soon.

Looking forward to seeing some photos. I was looking through some folders this afternoon in search of an image of a tractor implement and found this photo that I took of the Casio G-SHOCK with the dial illuminated. You can set the watch up to illuminate for a set amount of time when you rotate your wrist to look at the watch.

I greatly prefer the Timex for when a watch needs to be worn while hunting.
Imagine getting up at 3AM, eating breakfast, out to a ladder stand by 4AM, and then
sitting until daybreak and sometimes considerably longer. Here in NY, the NYS DEC finally fell into place with most of the other US States. Since a child and hunting with my Dad, NY legal "hours" for big game hunting was from "official" sunrise, to "official" sunset. Several years ago, they changed it to 30 minutes
prior to "official" sunrise, to 30 minutes after "official" sunset.

I have a weather app on my phone which lists the daily "official" sunrise and sunset times.

At that time, they added a requirement for wearing a minimum square inches of fluorescent hunting hunting clothing or fluorescent "camo" and the fluorescent clothing requirement even applies to private property and muzzleloader seasons.
A hat satisfies the minimum square inches requirement.
Archery is still exempted from the fluorescent orange clothing requirement.

We can have 50 degree weather all the way down to below zero during big game season.
When you have sat in the ladder stand for several hours in pitch black zero degree weather,
the Timex watch easily allows you to see just how much more suffering you have to endure!

I took this photo in my pitch black bedroom closet last night.
