When I bought my WM-8M, they sold a longer top link (I-Match), I'm wondering if that would work with your quick-hitch?

I think they do, but my current system is solid. If I didn’t already have it for my flail, I’d be looking at their other top link options.

Man! This thing is badass. Clipped low-hanging limbs off of some spiny tree of death out in the field and fed them to the new machine. Anything under 3” just buzzed through like butter. I chipped a couple them that were in the 4-5” range and had to slow the feed speed down a bit, but it managed.

Thanks for your advice. I almost got a WoodMaxx last year but hesitated. It had a hydraulic feed; my BX’s PTO HP of 19 was towards the minimum requirement. Rep said it needed green material for lubrication; I’ve got 5 acres of old, dead, dry stuff from a wildfire in 2017. I backed out.

The ability to use the PTO was the initial appeal. Then, I could use my BX the other 3 seasons, and not have her be a hangar queen, awaiting snow. Sounds as if I should just rent a big chipper occasionally as I have 3-5” trunks.

You supplied just what I wanted-real feedback on the LP chipper using only a BX.
I have a WoodMaxx MX-8600 USA made 6" chipper on a BX2370, which is as much as the BX wants to lift, and as much as it wants to power. The MX-8600 eats everything, long-dead stuff, new stuff, hard stuff, just chews right through it. The blades are still undamaged and super-sharp.

The hydraulic feed is awesome, set the speed you need, stand back and feed. I claim to attempt landscaping and it's one of the best tools I own, outrunning a small team of ground squirrels by a good margin. I have the feeder set to automatically slow down if it's over-fed for the current feed rate, so every now-and-then someone has to bump it up for the small stuff. Everything over 6" is cut up for firewood, so no need for a bigger chipper.
