Got a good giggle with all the cars lined up at the gas station air pump this morning. Guess all the low tire pressure lights came in with the lowest temps of the year. A whopping 4" of snow is forecasted overnight. Just might put the Edge Tamers on and try them out.

Officially we're at 84" since Nov 1st, since we live about 650ft higher in elevation, we're closer to 100"s this winter. Needless to say, I took delivery of my new lx2610 with front mount snowblower and rear box blade 3 days ago, so I don't anticipate Anymore snow this season. :D

If I remember correctly in years past they have to truck snow into Anchorage to start the Iditarod race. Then truck the dogs north to snow and 'really' start the race. But not this year I guess.
You must live on the hill above the city.
I remember seeing a sign up there
"Tire chains needed after October 1st"

Yes, but that's true almost every year because the start of the race is on a downtown street which is typically plowed. They have changed the route numerous times for low snow depths though. Not the case for the last several years since we've been well above our 74" annual average lately.

Picking up 40gallons of -30f window washer fluid from Walmart today to fill my tires. Haven't seen -30f in Anchorage since I was a kid in the 80's so I figured it should be more than enough as long as I don't leave the tractor on our property in the interior during the winter.

Had a chilly snap. Cleaned the pellet stove quickly before our bathroom project starts tomorrow.

Burning well, only 2+ tons so far this season.
