Rock time. 100 tons dropped today. Driver doing a good job tailgating it. Need to thin out some overlap and fill some thin spots but that gets me seat time after lunch. I should be adequate with the box blade by then so I can forget everything until I get rock again

If you have a business (farm?) I would strongly suggest that you try to budget for a HOT pressure washer.
I have a 50 year old Hotsy (brand), electric motor washer, with only 1,000 psi.
The hot pressure water will 1,000% out clean my 4,000 psi 13Hp Honda powered, cat pump, cold water washer.
The domestic water heater hose method will be a bit better than straight cold water, but 200 degree water, with high pressure, and dedicated burner heated water is vastly superior.
Farm. Thanks, noted.

No, but I think I'm gonna use the drain off the water heater next time, probably put one those in line screen gaskets that are on sprinklers so the pressure washer doesn't suck any debris from the water heater.
You can't, pressure washers do not do well on hot water you will seize up the pump.

Nice.

Here it's cheaper to get the belly dump ~22 to 23T each load, $400 to $500 dependant on dsl costs, just got to inform driver to set locks at the lowest setting, and drive faster.

Since I do better reading from a physical document I took a pdf of my wsm to Staples and had it printed out. It wasn't cheap but still less than buying one through a dealer.

I'd just be happy to get the WSM. Where'd you find that?

This morning I helped the neighbor get rid of a couple pine trees that were hanging over his garden area. Used the L3830 and grapple to take the brush up to my burn pile. Tried to use the bottom tines of the grapple to tear up a mound with a bush (which had been removed) to try to uproot the thousands of woody stocks. Ended up doing a fine job of removing the dirt from around the woody stocks (we lost that round).

We think alike!
I actually have 2 WSM's for my L48 TLB.
I keep one in FL to refer to when I am there, and one in New England, where the machine is.
I really should sell the WSM in FL, but over the Winter I do find it handy to check on OTT postings.
How did I come to wind up with two.?
While in FL for a Winter, I forgot that I actually already had the manual.

My heavy hitch arrived today. Opened the box and put in the lower pins. After how the rest of my day went I didn't go any further.

water service from h*ll today. The bank was so steep there was now way i could climb it with runner tracks on wet grass...dug from both ends and finished in the middle in a very strange position as the trench started to collapse when I jumped it.

also, when the tech cut the old galvanized water service, the homeowners/ power went out...WTF? Power was overhead so what just happened. Then it dawned on me that we basically cut the house ground and he must have an open neutral somewhere. His power was "restored" when we bonded the ground to the new copper water service line...yikes man.

anyway, just a few pics. Note, the pics of the bank don't look nearly as steep as it was. Trust me, it was my a$$ in the seat.

diggy:

Today I used the tractor to help a neighbor plant some trees, and to get my kids new play set (Craigslist free score) out of my truck and in to the yard. Both things could have been done with some muscle, but what fun would that have been?
