I am looking to get a tiller for my BX2370. How big a tiller can I use and what brands should I avoid? Local farm store has Tarter brand. I have never heard of them. Another farm store has King Kutter brand. Thanks.
I have a 48" Farm King tiller that I use on my BX 2370-1 and it handles it no problem. I don't think I'd go much bigger. Working up sod I usually take a smaller bite on the second pass, working up a garden that has been tilled before I can use the whole width.
I use a Land Pride RTR0550 on mine, it works as that was what my dealer recommended for the BX.
I would be comfortable with the XB King Kutter, I'm not familiar with Tartar personally, but I've read they are essentially the same and both provide equipment to TSC under their Country Line label.
I have a 48" Taylor Way TG48 gear driven tiller on my bx2350. Made by king kutter i believe. Works great, well built and the right size. Not dure i would go bigger. It is heavy enough that i usually leave theoader on when using it or the front rend gets light on the tractor. I have no problem with sod, but alway make 2 passes to get as deep as i like. I typically till 16-20 gardens in town every spring .
