What this world needs (or at least, my world) is a FEL joystick operated dual spool control block sized for around 5-6gpm, in keeping with the capabilities and capacities of the average SCUT.
The smallest controls can handle around 10gpm (Summit's smallest is 11gpm). Yes, a 10gpm can handle 3 gpm obviously but control is ticklishy sensitive. Smaller spool valves should provide a better graduation at low flow rates.
Ideally, the control would come with 4 position spool valves; adding Float to the boom circuit and regenerative flow to the dump at the 4th position of each. And offer the PB adapter as part of the package -- don't make me go hunt down the correct adapter.
I realize that Summit imports their valves (from Finland, IIRC?). But maybe your buying power has some influence with the manufacturer?
Just my 2¢.
