That 'comm error' is probably for the pita CAN bus network.....
There 'should' be some kind of 'reset the network' command though don't hold your breath....

I'd disconnect the battery at least 1/2 hour, then reconnect, turn key on and see what happens.
Will try!

DO you have the WSM and the OPM, I'm betting with the power loss that it has reprogramed the OPC (occupancy computer) into thinking it's a GST.
I will dig into it and see if there is any settings that you can change.

WSM = workshop manual, OPM = operator's manual. Both Kubota published manuals for understanding operating procedures and tractor overhaul details.

simple test..
If that big N means neutral, what happens when you put tranny/HST into gear ?
I would think it'll show 1,2,3,H, L, R ?

another test.

with power off, disconnect dash connector from the rest of the tractor, for say 1/2 hour, then reconnect, power up ,see what happens.

sadly, you'd think the 'engineers' who designed the tractors would have been able to tell the 'computer' the difference between HST and GST..

it ain't 'rocket science' just simple, basic Computer Design101.

course they also need to KNOW how CAN works, or at least how their 'version' of it does AND release the bus to free the collisions.....

Just a hunch. There are two switches (three if you have the optional mid pro) that communicate directly with the Intelipanel and the ECU. One is the clutch switch. The Intelipanel is telling you that there’s a communication error between the panel and the ecu. Your next clue is the Depress Clutch notification when trying to start. Use the wiring diagram and identify the connector pin number on the ecu and the panel. Disconnect both, apply battery power and check for voltage at both connectors. You should have power to both connectors when the clutch is depressed.
