I've done business with the same dealer parts guy for some time now, bought quite a bit of stuff from them over the last year and we know each other by name.
The one consideration was the serial number, I had to explain this time that it was actually a grey 7001 and believe it or not they were cool about it.

Here's the part numbers for the 7100-
early s# part# 66711-14530
and the late s# part# 66706-14530

Have any of you guys replaced these parts yet?

There is a discussion about the grey numbers not matching up to the NA numbers....I wonder if this is more about s# breaks than anything?

A couple of local dealers here say the part 66711- is still available and one dealer has ordered it for me.......coming on Tues........we'll see.

In the meantime.........anyone got a parts tractor?

Leafy England....
You my find another option would be to pick-up a used complete B7100 rear end and just swap over the complete assembly.
I had a good used b7001 rear end here until recently sitting in the garage, sold it for silly money just to get it out of the way, you may find a used item for a lot less mone than you think, and save a lot of work too.
good luck anyaway.

I have spent the entire day looking through every craigslisting within 1000 miles and at least called 20 dealers......nothing.

Have you talked to a "really good" welder/machinest about rebuilding the tooth? I once had an old Terratrack bulldozer with a chipped tooth on the final drives. I took it to the best welder I knew at the time. He built it up with TIG and ground the tooth back into shape. It workrd fine.
