RESOLVED- L3902 beeps once and shuts down, will not crank

2 year old L3902 with about 50 hours on it. I was running the brush hog when I heard a single beep and the tractor stopped. I tried to restart it and it will not crank. The lights on the dash display but when I crank the key, nothing happens. Any ideas?

This is my first tractor and I'd say I'm a lightweight when it comes to tractor repair. I'd suspect a safety switch somewhere. Any ideas on where to start.

I feel stupid. The PTO button was in the ON position. I suppose I must have stood up to look for rocks.

Write this down because these situations are not uncommon.

Then when the engine wont crank or it just dies mentally run through your interlock checklist.
