My BX24 rpm gauge is digital and thus no symbol on gauge. I've read a variety of answers from 2550 engine rpm to wot. I know it's important to know specifically for a generator. In my case I'm only using it thus far with a BX52 Wallenstein chipper and I have been running it at 2550 but have bumped it up a couple of times but never to wot. Seems this should be in the manual but not in mine. Anyone with a BX series have the answer? Thanks in advance.

If i was to run a generator, i would start with what is said above and also buy a handheld tach gun that you can measure shaft speed with. Verify/adjust engine rpm to get the correct pto speed in real time to be sure the generator is happy.

In reality, it would probably be just as easy (and better) to monitor freq/voltage and adjust accordingly.
