Guessing topic has been discussed. Search term "quick hitch adapter" yield 9 pages. Didn't look beyond the 2nd page. I'm old and lazy.

Dropped off the payment for the BX today. Probably shouldn't have, but did spend some time in the used implement area. Added an almost new 48" Land Pride box scraper. QH05 compatible. Traded in the 7ft for back blade for an almost new Land Pride 5 footer. QH05 compatible. Found a treasure. An old Vassar reverse buck, dirt bucket or whatever it is called. Good shape outside needing a new paint job. Almost works with the QH05. Need to thread inward the bottom pins ~1/2 inch. But the top hook pin is a no go. Will probably need a 3 point 2" receiver assembly to tow the trailer.

Just google QH adapter. A bunch of look alike from $18.99 to $32.99. Waste of money or would they work for the 3 pt dirt bucket and 3 point receiver unit?

Live for the past +2 decades without a rear QH. Not an absolute necessity. But those turnbuckle stabilizer on the 3pt look to be a pain when compared to sliding bars with pins. They also look a bit fragile compared to bars.

My old dirt scoop had tabs forward but too low so I welded new tabs on for the top hook.

Pretty much everything I own had to be modified one way or another to use the quick hitch on. After that it was all easy peasy.

Dirt scoops make great log skidding implements. See above pic.

Why?
You have a loader which makes that pretty much obsolete.
Probably why many dirt scoops became garden planters? FEL sort of made them a bit obsolete.
Grapple claw use. Dirt scoop to function maybe as a carrier. A counter weight when loaded up with firewood if the box scraper is not attached. Have ~6 red oak logs up to 16 feet lengths and all 18-24 diameter sitting for the past couple years at the north end of the 40. 1st need a bit of trail maintenance and finish cutting and splitting and stacking the wood down by the house.

I've seen several old dirt scoops sell at auction over the years.

Usually can be had pretty cheap.

I've been tempted to buy one a few times, but I'm also really cheap..... ;)

If I ever see another cheap one I will buy it just because. I let my first one go with the tractor when I sold it. Got a deal on a like new heavy duty one a couple years back for $75. Listed it on CL for $375 and sold it the next day.

Three point scoops are also much better for excavation with small tractors than are FELS.

Thousands upon thousands of farm ponds have been made with 9/2/8N Fords and three point scoops. Try doing such things with a small tractor/FEL.

Bit of a depression from the soil settling from a stump removed last autumn. My soil is either rock or sand or a mix of both with just inches of real soil. At one time beach waterfront along the shores of glacial Lake Duluth. Sand/gravel source at the uphill side intersection of the driveway loop and main driveway. Last year just moved bucket by bucket to fill what ended up being a ~10ft diameter and 3ft deep hole. This time. "Double dipping" with the dirt bucket and FEL bucket. Might only need one or two runs.
