For all you other newbies to quick hitches. Was having some issues detaching implements with the quick hitch. New BX. New to quick hitches. Didn't realize the top hook on the QH was binding a bit on the top connector bushing. Initially the box scraper was set up properly by the dealer to drop off. I adjusted the pitch to make it level relative to the tractor. When trying to detach it the 3Pt would not drop off as normal. Gave it a bit of a giggle like I needed to do with the snowblower. No go. Shut down the tractor and scratched my brain???? Next day taking a look I noticed the bushing was tight against the face of the back of the hook. Changed the top link length to "center". 3pt dropped.

Ignorance on my part. Thought once the QH was set it was set for all implements to engage and disengage without any further tuning. Hindsight that makes no sense. QH still beats conventional attaching. Happy I spent the extra couple hundred on the unit. Unfortunately the used LandPride RB05 is not QH compatible unless I can find about a total of 6" additional lower pin length.

The QH05 has it's limitations.
The QH15 is a much better design.

The top pin binding will always happen if the implement can not lay flat to the ground.
on something like a box blade you could put 1x's or 2x's under the front or rear depending on how it's binding if you want to leave the top link at the same adjustment.
This would be true if you have a QH or not.

Corrected for you! 😂

The QH10 is a much better design, as is the QH16, but the QH15 is a head-scratcher and makes no sense. I currently own a QH10 and a QH15, and used to own a QH05 when I had the BX25D. I ended up modifying the QH15 so that it's basically a QH16.

Yes your right:

I have several generic QH and they work great.

I have only had the QH15, what did you do to improve it?
I welded in half bushings so that it doesn't need CAT 3 to CAT 1 bushings in order to pick up implements with CAT 1 pins. The QH10 and QH16 both use the CAT 1 interface, the difference being that the QH16 has an adjustable top hook like the QH15.
