I have several M18 Milwaukee tools. Very happy with them.

Don't have an impact. Bet the 1/2 and 3/4 would be pretty stout.

Find myself using pneumatic less often in favor of the convenience of battery-powered.

I have switched to all Milwaukee tools over last 5-6 years except for my air tools which are basically for one job…sharpening my mower blades. Oh and I’ve owner FORD trucks all my life and have not had an issue with any of them. I hear GM stuff has been “questionable” lately. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I use Milwaukee M18 and M12, mostly. LOVE them.

No one asked, but:

I have owned Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Toyotas, Mazda and Mitsubishi trucks and I actually liked them all. The Japanese trucks I owned years ago were great but a bit on the flimsy or 'tinny' side. USA trucks are usually overbuilt, strength wise, and I like that. Reliability has been the same across the board, (since the 80's when Toyota showed the way). I own a newer Ford F250 and a old Dodge Ram and a Jeep truck today. Because I am a 4x4 only with solid front axle guy. I think Chevy / GMC make great trucks, but I gotta have a solid front axle on my trucks. No IFS for me. But that's just me with my personal experience off road.

For me, both still have their place. And I think most techs would agree.

I could never completely do away with air. But I do of course love the electric stuff. Milwaukee being my brand of choice only because I got a tool guy thats in the parking lot every tuesday that carries it lol.

Some of their stuff you just gotta be careful if you're "techin" everyday. That's all. I put the 1/2 inch through the daily ringer of which she lasted about 8 months before giving problems. Warrantied her out and took her home.

These days I open up the monthly milwaukee flyer and I'm like, "got it, got it, got it." LOL

Couple years ago I switched out most of my m18 stuff for m12. Partially for ease of access (cause i can shove the 1/4 & 3/8 impacts & ratchets into some pretty tight spots with a 12 batt) but also because the m18 batteries will break you when they go down.

Thats where all the money seems to be for the smaller tools. Tool guy is always running non stop specials buying a 5.0 or 8.0 m18 w/ "free" tools.

I still use air.
Need it for blowing things dry, clearing passages. Its there. I only use the rattle gun on wheels and mower blades, crankshaft bolts. So not real often. Not often enough to replace it with electric.
I do have a tiny, impact screwdriver (maybe 5 ft/lbs) that I use when servicing things with fifty screws holding a cover on and a small 1/4" 12V Bosch impact screw gun.
But there is something romantic about the sound of air escaping of an idle rattle gun and the sound it makes when working.
I don't smoke any more, nothing on AM radio, the lure of the shop is fading. Burma Aftershave

Still have air in the shops as well. But now, other than blowing things out I rarely touch it. Was tired of dragging air hoses around. Getting caught or tangled. Not worth it anymore

I feel ya brother. I can fight an air line real quick like. We rerouted the air in the shop last year then went to reels mounted to the lifts.

What a world of difference it made for me.
