Also got this photo of a trespasser. I saw her and her sis again a little while later. They were about 20ft behind the camper in the back yard

Picture of some Oyster mushrooms I took this weekend. My woods has been pumping out oysters like crazy! The twins and the misses loves them as much as I do. They're every bit as good as morels...

Had the 2025r for over a decade. LX2610 for 6 months. 350+ hrs on the 2025r, 36hrs on the LX2610.
Went Kubota because of the ssqa option, but the 2025r has been trouble free for over a decade. Just wanted a separate dedicated front mount snow blower.......although the forks get used a lot more than the Kubota bucket and slightly less than the snowblower but it's early.

Met some folks from the CSP (conservation stewardship program) today at my oak savanna.

Well see if the fox family returns, 1 parent came back to check out the area, I should have removed the yote from the area last night.

She looks healthy. We had a den in the back corner of our property but the foxes got scared off by coyotes a couple of years ago and abandoned it.

Some nasty green content
Potatoes went in a week or two ago. They rolled in this morning to hill them. We've had very little rain this spring so there wasn't much change in the color of the soil as they made their passes.

A couple of friends asked if they could take a nature walk on my oak savanna restoration project yesterday, and of course thats all I needed as an excuse to go along and just spend a relaxing time enjoying the place versus tractor work or invasive work.
I have a small population of the Federally endangered Karner Blue Butterfly , which is in their first flight. They have two flights a year, do not migrate and the larvae's have one and only one host plant. Wild Lupine. No Lupine, no Karners.
It is always a treat for me to spot them flying but yesterday had a special treat when this male Karner followed me around and landed on my wheelchair several times along with my clothes and even my camera! lol.
The panoramic shot is the general area where the lupine is concentrated and the Karner population is the highest.
For reference I am sitting in my wheelchair looking down, he seemed to prefer landing on one of the tires.
A very interesting little butterfly with information here.

While sitting on some friends front porch in the western NC mountains, this bear decided that she needed the bird feeder more than the birds do. She also had 2 cubs with her that are not pictured.

Actually some form of fungus down on the edge of my prairie planting. We have gotten a normal amount of rain so far this season after a few years of drought. Along with the rain I see an uptick in mushrooms.
