Spanish moss?
Yes, and the 50+ year old oak growing the frame.Spanish moss?
Stunning! The colors and pattern are amazing. I don't know what that pattern does for the moth or butterfly but it sure works for me.
Cool snake. Could be a rough or smooth green snake. Rough has slightly keeled scales. This jumped out of a tree, right past my ear. Happened too fast to even flinch. Smooth Green Snake, I think. View attachment 101898

We have a good amount of Rough Greens where I live (Deep East Texas), but I've caught both smooth and rough (as a kid) in Independence KS (South and East of you) along the Verdigris River. Great pic!

Bob (or Bobbie) looks really healthy.Seems my old buddy Bob showed up last night. I hadn't seen him since last fall.
Nothing on my cameras overnight, no skunk, no coons, no Opossum..
Only Bob. I guess everything else knew he was in the neighborhood.
Trilliums were a favorite Wisconsin wildflower that my parents would mention when I was a small child (late 50's to mid 60's). Sigh , now they are a threatened species here. Thanks for sharing and bringing back great memories of driving up north and looking for them! Not the best phone pic of these active Robins View attachment 102844
And a few trilliums peaking up thru some logs I need to get to work on. I’m blessed with thousands of trilliums around my land, which sometimes can be a bit of a nuisance as I try to miss them driving Kubbie around.

Beautiful! Here is a pic from last year Ken. Looking the same this year, but Im thinking they are spreading. I do cut this area in the summer once the flowers disappear.
