I don't own any car, truck or tractor that has a hard to reach, or hard to change oil filter. Even the new '24 F-450 oil filter is like the one on my '02 F-250 being easily accessible and mounted vertically so prefilling the filter isn't a challenge. The '02 has a Fumoto engine oil drain valve in the oil pan which makes it easy to change oil. The original owner installed it many years ago.It is getting the same with tractors, as has been the norm for cars/trucks. Accessibility doesn't seem to be the priority. A previous post mentioned Prius being difficult, which on the gen 3 at least, is quite easy with a $10 proprietary wrench. A F150 with 3.5 Ecoboost however, is the true nightmare. With their timing chain, phazer problems, oil changes are critical, and with these, not a 20 minute diy. Sign of the times I fear.
