I just bought a used ZD1211-60 w/1500 hr.
It had a stuck thermostat. I replaced it and changed the coolant.
I also changed the engine oil and filter,
I am debating changing the trans/hyd oil and filter. It looks like it is quite expensive to do.
At the risk of starting a fire storm of opinions, are there alternate to the Kubota filters and trans/hyd oil that are suitable?
Thanks in advance!!

With the money you probably paid for the equipment proper filters and fluids are cheap insurance.

My ZD hydro intervals are 400 hours, in a non commercial setting that could be a good number of years depending on your variables. Why skimp? I've had almost no issues in 8 years, and mine was used and abused before I bought it, but I don't cheap out on maintenance or fluids.

I don’t want to skimp or cheap out. I am just of the opinion that paying more for oem doesn’t always equate to more better!!!!
There are many examples of “non-branded” items offered by the same manufacturer for a much lower price.
That’s what I’m looking for.

BMW and Lexus are excellent examples!

You cannot convince me that just because an item has a name brand on it that is the best available item.

Thanks for the replies!!!
Please keep them coming!!
