Looking at the manual I see only four (4) 1/4-28 grease fittings total. Anybody undertaken the project of installing additional fittings? If so, what was your solution and final count? Also, were you able to find replacement pins, especially the special ones with welded collar, either through Kubota or some aftermarket source? Seems like greasing through the pin itself would be a simple and effective solution if such pins exist, grease two birds at once, you might say. Thanks in advance.

I have the same loader. Only zerks I can think of off the top of my head are at the top of the uprights. Some day when I've got the time I need to pull all the pins and clean/grease them. Most of my pins/holes are very worn after 30+ years. I have thought of sleeving the holes and adding zerks someday.

I won't be home for two weeks to check, but I know I had zerks at the top of the upright mounts, at the bottom of the lift arms, at the ends of the tilt cylinders, and at the base of the lift cylinders. I want to say they were on both ends of each cylinder. When I get home I'll check with the neighbor that now owns it. I should also be able to find some documentation.
My new L3200 with the 524 loader has several pins with drilled through zerks on them. You should be able to order them from your local dealer. Just measure what you need, and walk through his lot with a ruler...

I am in the process of rebuilding a bent-up L1200 and I agree with the finding of zerks at the base of the lift frame and at the pivot on the bucket. This is my second go round with rebuilding an L1200/1700 and we used some old 1" round stock to make new pins. Fortunately I have a retired Scottish F-in-law who is willing to help out if it will save a few bucks.

MikeL...during your 1200 rebuild will you repaint to include the 'Kubota' markings? If so, is there some sort of stencil available for this? What about the caution label(s)-are they still available?

Greuss...I look forward to hearing what you find.

I found labels on Craigslist out of Georgia. The safety labels are all still available. The only challenge is remembering that Kubota only lists parts for the L1700. Of the 2 FELs I have, one is an L1700 and one is an L1200 and they are identical.
