Mid PTO shaft Repair

B2910 Kubota with B2761 subframe and B2762 Mid PTO kit. The shaft is slightly bent so I want to remove and have straightened. However the shaft will not slide back far enough on the center spline to clear the PTO spline. It looks like I would have to unbolt the entire sub frame or unbolt and remove the PTO housing.....Really? Any better ideas?? Thanks

Try loosening the set screws on the bearings to slide the splined shaft towards the front.

Try loosening the set screws on the bearings to slide the splined shaft towards the front.

Both collars are on the forward (front) side of the bearings.
