What is the reason for people posting questions in the "profile posts" instead of posting the questions in the forums? The one thing that I find is that they rarely ever get a response.

I think it's because they get confused as to how things work.

Why not turn it off and eliminate the confusion? I doubt that any of the regulars would even know the difference. The only thing that I have seen ever posted is that sometimes a new person will do an introductory post, but even that can be incorporated into a forum.
