Hope I can explain this so it makes sense. There are a couple of grease fittings in the front axle pivot area. One is in front of the axle and has a plug that is removed to allow the old grease to come out when greasing this fitting.
There is another grease fitting on the back side of the axle. This fitting does not have a plug for the old grease to come out. So where does all this grease go? I’m concerned that it may get over filled and the pressure from the grease blow out a seal or something.

You can see illustrations of the assembly at Kubota USA dot com like is shown below (there are several L5740 versions so you may need to know a very complete model number).

From what I see and understand the excess grease at the rear side may just come out of the rear of the housing (if it is open) or squeeze out the front around the o-ring. I would suggest reading some manual that describes how much and how often to grease that zerk, I would think it is something like one pump every few months.

Well, I greased it again and see no grease coming out from anywhere, or anywhere it could come out from, the whole propeller shaft is all enclosed.
Any other clues to where all this grease goes???

On the rear extra grease goes into the propeller shaft cover.

Don't over grease it.

On the front if you don't pull the plug you either won't get grease in there or you will damage the case.

Any suggestion as to how much and often to grease this?
I typically grease everything every 50 Hrs and I do remove the plug for the front fitting.
Tractor has almost 900 hrs, so that propeller shaft cover must have a lot of grease in it by now!
