Good morning all. I have a couple questions about an L2000DT. What is the blue light for on the dash? I have an L225 shop manual with the wiring diagram in the back and most everything looks the same but it doesnt show the blue light (that I can tell). Also my tractor has a safety switch for the clutch but there are no wires going to it. The shop manual doesnt show the safety switch either as far as I can see. The lens for the blue light was painted over when I bought the tractor. Grateful for any help.

I had an L225 and it didn't have any lights on the dash other than the oil/charge lights in the tach. Pics might help.

Mine also did not have a clutch safety switch, but it may have been removed?

If you have the grey market version of the L225 it may have different options because it was made for a different market.

Total loss on the Blue light????

As far as the clutch safety switch goes, that's a simple switch that would break the solenoid wire. ;)

That blue light isn't factory as far as I can tell. However, the last L245 I bough had a whack of extra electrics for turn signals and an electric clutch for the front splined shaft. Trace the wiring and see where it goes. Does your tractor have any other features? Does the light come on when you do something or turn something on (high beams?, etc. What is the switch next to it?

Thanks, unfortunately the only lights I have seen work so far is the charging, oil pressure and tach instrument light. I just figured out that the key switch has more positions than one. I found this out by accident as you have to pull the key out slightly for the other 2 positions. The hood is off at the moment and havent played with the lights too much yet. It has the two lights on the rear fenders that I am guessing will flash. The switch next to the blue light is the light/ flasher switch.

Cool. None of my tractors came with flashers but on each I installed them and that's where I put the switch.
