Hi all,

I am new joiner, and this is my first post (hope more will follow)

Am planning to purchase my first tractor, I have a small farm (3 acres), and want a tractor for mainly ploughing and tilling it. I found one small tractor, Kubota 1500Dt, in a very good shape, and some how reasonable price.

My question, would 15hp tractor be sufficient to do ploughing and tilling. am planning to use 2 bottom plow, or 5-tyne duck foot cultivator, would this Kubota be powerful enough to do this?

Thanks in advance,

Even with 4wd engaged - I do not think that tractor will pull a 2 bottom plow

Where are you located? How many acres are you planning to plow? Seems like a very small tractor for plowing that much land, you'd probably be way better to hire it out to someone with the machinery to do it in less than an hour. Which then lets you buy whichever tractor you want for your needs, as you no longer need to plow.

Matters on soil condition.
You would be asking a lot of that tractor to do that.
I have a 35HP tractor and I can work it hard with a 5 bottom duck foot cultivator even in sandy soil.

Located in Jordan (Middle east), planning to plow ~2 acres, almost sandy soil. the mainly purpose of getting tractor is plowing, and a little of pulling here and there
