My L245 DT started spraying out engine oil on the right side of the block near the oil filter through a small round hole. I am trying to figure out what caused this. The oil light came on and I shut her down. I added oil to restart the engine but the oil ran out of the same hole. What do I do. Help Please.

Don't know the engine any chance the oil pressure sender snapped off or fell out?

The pressure sender is on the left side up at the rear corner of the head.

On the right side at the oil filter there's a relief valve and a safety valve as well (see pdf). Not sure why is has both. Are all of the parts there? Maybe the safety valve has failed open?

I recall reading a thread with a similar problem. There may be a small plug similar to a freeze plug that has fallen out of the hole. Search may be your friend. You may be able to find it on a parts diagram.

I recall that the fix was to glue in a shortened steel bolt or reinstall the plug if you can get it
