Injection pump shim sealant?

Can someone tell me what kind of sealant is used for the shims on the injector pump. I'm reinstalling the original pump and shims and there seems to be a grey film between the shims, but I don't know what it is and the manual doesn't specify anything. Thanks!

B4200 with a Z600.

It was anaerobic sealant.
I just use a copper spray sealer or even just a light coat of regular spray paint to seal them.
But really you don't need anything they seal very well all on their own.
Don't use RTV or anything like that as all of those sealers are too thick and change the timing.
