Hello and thank you for the info re ballast weight and fel removal. I wil contact dealer for a fel operatong manual.
Another question concerning idle rpm.
Is there a proper idle rpm and duration time at that rpm ?
I was told by a buddy of mine that a low idle rpm can damage the motor.

Assuming a diesel is a diesel. Owned a NH for 24 years prior to trading it in for the BX. If not moving I would drop the RPMs down to the recommended low idle speed. Guessing sometimes for a good 10-15 minutes. Takes a good 10 minutes in winter even with the block heater to properly warm up. In the BX2380 manual the low idle speed is IIRC, 1350-1550rpms. Factor or dealer set the lowest speed at ~1500. Nothing I remember in the manual noting prolong idle as an issue. I guess it depends on what is considered long time at idle speed. But then you see trucks at truck stops running long periods of time parked.

Heck....I'm waiting on somebody to answer the question. How low can one set the idle to on a Kubota ? Is it locked into the factory setting ? Can it be lowered from that ? If not....WHY NOT? thanks

The BX2380 manual notes low idle should be 1350-1500rpms. Check the specs for your Kubota for the recommended low idle rpms. Some have noted needing to tighten the hardware on the throttle lever. Sounds like when it starts slipping the lever moves by itself to lower rpm. Don't remember anyone noting it slipping to a way too low rpm. Why I'm guessing there is a hard stop.
