Not sure if this is the right forum?
How do you folks repair potholes in gravel driveways in the winter?
Thinking I’ll just try and get some gravel and throw it in the holes for now and wait for spring to rip it up proper like.
Thanks

Fill them with water and let them freeze... see no more pothole! :D

Ok seriously, 49/49/2

49% gravel
49% sand
2% magnesium chloride

They will pack tight and hold till spring

Short term, just fill them in.

Persistent pot holes are usually caused by the rock or object or water immediately under/around the issue. To really fix it, you need to dig whatever it is out of there and replace with fill/gravel. If you are dealing with ledge you either blast to go down, or raise it up. For water it depends on the water.

Guess that it is slightly different here since we would be dealing with a lack of drainage. Crown the roadway, water drains off, no potholes. If one develops, regrade the roadway which fills the pothole and restores the drainage.
