Have an L2000DT (crossover of L225DT). Specifications call for 80 gear oil but all I can seem to find is 80-90, will this be suitable? Or is there a manufacturer that offers straight 80 gear oil for the transmission and hydraulics? Thanks for your help.

The 80w90 is fine , but if you run a loader and live in a cold climate you might consider changing to a universal tractor trans hydro fluid.

I have an L225DT and in order for my front loader to work in the winter, i have to run 36 weight hydraulic fluid. Call your local Kubota dealer and ask them what they recommend. Checker Auto Parts and Auto Zone both sell a 5 gallon buck for $40 bucks, half what the dealer wants and my dealer said its the same stuff just half the cost.

A word of caution with the front Diff on that L2000DT. Do Not over work it. My dad completely exploded the front differential twice on mine before i inherited it. They're strong but not indestructible!
