I am new to Disc's and am going to look at one tonight. I am wondering if you guys can tell me what I should be looking at for any problems. I am told it is a Bush Hog and the cut is 64". It has tube stock deck and greasable bearings. It is a 90 min trip to see this and am hoping to pick it up at that time. What should be a fair price for it also
Thanks

I can't find a single model that matches it?
It looks to be an older fixed angle model with a light weight frame.
It looks to be suited for a small tractor, but width wise it would call for a 35+HP tractor to run it.
A new Bush hog would go for 1K+ but a similar model in another brand name would go for about $600 new.
Used I would think $250 to $350
Make sure you lift it and check all the bearings!

TSC has a angle frame 60" sub compact disc new for $850. Only weighs 407 lbs so it leads me to believe there's not much to it. All the little disc like that I've used don't do very well unless the dirt is loose.

I assume you are wanting to pull it with your 3800. It will handle a bigger disc in my opinion. I have pulled a 10' trail type with my L3000. I have to run in 4wd but it does it pretty easy.

Thanks for the replies, I ended up buying it as it is in great condition for its age and it is all I need for doing my food plots in nice sand/loam soil. It is much beefier than the angle iron models that most are made of. It is a Bush Hog 1410 model with 16" plates. I also have a 4ft tiller so I will not be breaking new ground with this. I ended up paying $450 for it which I was happy with and so was he. As for size this is 5 1/2 foot and with the 5hp per foot rule it fit the bill for the 3800, I think I could have went a little bigger but not for the small plots I am doing.

Sounds like a very fair deal to me. You're right, the tubing model will be much better all the way around. For what you plan to use it for I bet it will be perfect. Great buy.
