Anyone know of a good diesel mechanic in the Fort Worth/Dallas area that works on gray market tractors? I have a zen noh zl1501 with a possible head gasket gone bad.

Thanks in advance.

jd I hate it when no one answers a new member and in part its because no one has the answer. I don't have the answer either but I do a lot of business in Arlington at the old Master's Internationals Garage and they have subperb diesel technicians that are working on advanced Navistar diesels that are state of the art with Tier IV EPA compliant engines. I think you can get one of the guys to moonlight your Kubota Engine or at least get headed down the right path. A lot of the tear down you can do yourself with a little advice for dudes who do it all day long for a living. Remember patience is a virtue in our hobby or you pay big bucks at a Dealer. You can do this go for it ;)

as an FYI - I found out that Cosper Tractor, approx 10 miles south of Fort Worth on I-35W (Exit FM917) is willing to work on all makes and models of tractors. They had trouble finding the parts, but after a lot of hard work by their service rep he was finally able to locate everything he needed, which in this case were the parts to fix a head gasket leak and a hydraulic cylinder (which they found used for quite a bit less) for my FEL. I've talked to others that have used them and they have always been happy with their service.
