This is so bad, I am wondering if this would work. If you had some good oak, good clean rotors, and on a car that never went over 50, ???
True fact: the Ford Model T's have the service brake band in the transmission. The original brake bands were made from woven cotton. Newer materials used include Kevlar and yes, even wood.

The parking brake shoes were originally made from cast iron. In an emergency the parking brake could be used to slow the car down and eventually stop it, hence the term "emergency brake".

My 1926 Buick Master 54C had woven fabric brake linings that would contract around a round drum on the outside. It used mechanical linkage to activate the brakes. It also had wooden artillery wheels with 6.00 x 21" tires with cotton fabric cloth for the reinforcing plies. Picture from the internet. You can see the fabric under the brake band and the wooden spoke wheels. Make for an interesting combination if the brakes catch on fire.

This may have been shared before but here goes.

Did you know that diarrhea is hereditary?

It runs in your jeans.

Don't forget to turn your bathroom scales back 15 pounds Wednesday night at midnight for Thanksgiving.
