Just visited New Zealand and Australia back in June/July. The missus is from South Australia, the hottest and driest state in the hottest and driest country on the planet with all the usual fare of peculiar wildlife. I love it down there. While their spiders and snakes are some of the deadliest species, there’s far fewer of them than we have in Alabama. A huntsman spider can’t hur you, but they are enormous and will make you hurt yourself. I was geocaching out in the outback and lifted a rock off the top of a fence post. A ‘baby’ huntsman jumped out of the hole and covered the back of my hand. INSTANT NINJA!!!! I was Judy chopping and Ninjy kicking at the same time. So says I.

friend got a FREE 2 car garage, old,2by4, but solid. it took his brothe rand him 2 hours to get it onto his farm wagon and haul back to farm. The guy THOUGHT they'd knock it down for firewood...Bot was he 'pizzed' to see it go down the road in one piece. Only cost was $20 for the 'wide load' permit.

My neighbor has had shed envy since I built my shop. In the past two weeks he's recruited me to help him move two existing sheds (one of which he built 30 years ago). That one was HEAVY for a 10x10 stick frame structure, and in remarkable condition. Termites had gnawed on the Masonite siding he used just a little, but otherwise, it was rock solid. He wanted to disassemble it, but I had some 16' long 4x4 steel beams that I dragged under it, then we jacked those up and put round posts under them and rolled it across his yard with very little damage. We reset it and leveled it using some cleats I made from 2x4 blocks screwed to the foundation and a floor jack. It's a bit higher than it was, but he still has a place for his mower. The little 6x8 metal building was a lot lighter, but had to be careful not to twist it or pull on the steel shed. He had it on a 2x4 frame with 1/2" marine plywood, so we just duplicated the process. Then I dragged off all the bumpy bits left over from the moves and he now has a 24x36 concrete pad that's waiting for a metal building where two very large water oaks used to be. Supposed to deliver around 10/10. He's been comparing dimensions with me the past three weeks to make sure mine isn't one inch larger than his. Sounds like he's compensating.
While we didn't go down any highways, we moved one nearly 100 feet, and the other nearly 150 feet, very slowly while dodging and weaving through his muscadine arbors. He was VERY happy that he didn't have to tear down either of his existing sheds as originally planned, and looks like he's going to keep them (because I already have 3 sheds of varying purpose). Now he's gotta figure out a way to need a 4th one because I'm planning a lean-to for all my tractor attachments/implements and maybe another for a sawmill. Then he'll have to build TWO more sheds to catch back up with me. Probably the most fun and best neighbor I've ever had. And he cooks a mean Boston Butt. He wasn't very happy when Deb and I told him we were considering a move to get out of this crooked little town.

A burglar breaks into a home and holds the husband and wife hostage. At gunpoint, he forces the two to sit on chairs and ties them to the chairs.
The burglar slowly and methodically begins robbing the house.
The burglar has taken everything of value, and is ready to leave while the homeowners are still bound to their chairs.
Suddenly, the man yells at the burglar, "Please untie her, please, let her go!"
"No, I'm not untying either of you so that the authorities get notified as late as possible." says the criminal.
"Don't worry, your neighbors will soon wonder why your lights are still on throughout the night and check in with you."
Yet the man again pleads, "Please, just untie her, I'll do anything!"
"Look, I need to get away with this crime, I'm sorry, I can't leave anything up to chance." says the burglar, feeling a little ashamed of himself.
"I'm begging you man, just let her go, she won't call the cops, I promise!" the man is now crying. The burglar, still unwilling to budge, does find it quite touching how much his hostage cared about his wife.
"Wow," he says "You must really love your wife to beg me to untie her so desperately." "Not really,"
The man replies in a state of frenzy, "it's just that she will be home in 15 minutes."
