Hi, I have wanted a vintage Kubota my whole adult life. I picked this one up last month. I have done a lot to it. I have a ROPS in shipping to my local dealer. But wanted to share my cup holder idea. A couple of extra pics. Just because I'm a proud papa.

PVC pipe is always handy when making homemade cup holders. I used some as template forming 12 ga wire for my holder.

Good call. If you don't mind, what kind of money? (I have a ROP-less B7100...)
So long story short. I intensively scoured the internet for SFB-71A for sale. I found a site that turned me onto the ROPS program. They will pay 70% of total cost up to $500. They informed me of estimated cost delivered and installed $289. I wrote them even if I cant get 70% that is well worth the price.
I asked for part #'s and where to order. They gave me a link to Kubota. This link had already been a dead end. After contacting Kubota and them telling me part #'s. The same as I had above. Also letting them know my vin. They said it could only be ordered through a dealer. I called my local dealer right up the road. Zimmer tractor Aurora IN. I let him know my vin. He said that wont work I will try a back door to get it ordered. The next day they informed me they had a foldable ROPS with installation kit coming for $193 parts and about $60 shipping. From what I saw they were all non folding. But I found a Youtube video of a guy in Australia (John Childs at Timberdell) with the kit new and installing. Knock on wood it goes smooth. When I get it I will post the part #'s. Long story long even though I left out details.

Very cool man!

Welcome aboard!!

The simple mods can be the most rewarding for sure.

Do you have plans to do sort of a "full restoration" , like tearing it down and making it a "show tractor", or is it going to be a more of a clean it up real well and 'drive it until the wheels fall off' gig?

Either way, nice start!

Definitely a workhorse future. With some clean up here there no paint. I like her patina. I only have a half acre right now. I do plan on owning land again. That's when she will be indispensable. Keeping an eye out for a b670 backhoe.

Easy on them King Cobras ole feller.... LOL

That's a cup holder I can approve of though. Mission accomplished.

I run a swivel ram mount in mine.

It angers me how the stock cup holder in the grand L's can perfectly gyrate my adult beverage all over the right side of the cab and onto the floor.

Something I noticed the one and only time I had an open top drink in the stock holder.

When I look at post like this with old tractors, it gets me thinking: is my brand new L2502 gonna last me 40 years? Am I still gonna have it around in 2065? That's pretty much the year I expect to die.
