Concealed Carry Gun?

I have a S&W Shield. Carries very nice. I like those Hellcats though. Been toying with the idea of getting one but the Shield hasn't let me down yet. Here in CT max capacity is 10 while carrying so I have to deal with that stupidity as well.

I like my Glock 43. Considering buying a buddy's Ruger LC9, too.

My two go -to's are Sig P365 and Sig P938.

If you like the 1911 style in 9 mm carry, check out the Sig 938. Mine has been flawless for many years.

Trjicon night sights 6, 7 and 12 round mags...good to go. They come in all kinds of flavors.

Both roughly same size, P365 is a tad heavier with 11 rounds total for flush magazine. I also carry a Ruger SR1911 lightweight commander in good old 45acp when I'm feeling frosty.

I had a brain fart this afternoon. I have and recommend the P-938, not the 238 I posted earlier. The 938 is as perfect of a CC pistol that can be found.

I have a friend that did not care for his Kimber Micro. He eventually sold/traded it in. He claimed to have too many "stove pipes", but I do not have any personal experience with them.

I like the LC9s Pro. (pro version has no thumb safety)

I detest thumb safeties on anything but my 1911.

But I am pretty sure they don't make them anymore; however, I was able to find a shop that had 4 of them as "new old stock" a while back.

Between my buddy and me, we snapped them up.

If you ever shoot a Walther - PPS or PPQ you will never want to pull another trigger, IMHO the best trigger on the market.

So many options today... My personal favorite four (4) 9mm pocket pistols are: Glock 43, Sig P365, Kahr PM9, and Springfield Hellcat Pro OSP with reflex sight. They all carry nicely with the exception of the Hellcat Pro, just too big for most of my pockets so it usually gets carried in a holster. The Glock 43's mag capacity is too small but it runs perfectly. The best overall pocket carries are the Sig P365 and the Kahr PM9 hands down.

Springfield xds .45 Cal. Love it especially summer time with less clothes. Winter I gravitate towards my H&K VP9SK 9mm. 10+1 with red dot sight.

I worked for Ruger for two years during the height of the COVID pandemic, and really enjoyed being part of the Ruger team. One of my favorite projects was developing a .45 ACP version of the SECURITY-9. Within three weeeks I had two working prototypes that used 1911 magazines and performed really well. Sales just wanted to know how the pistol would feel (weight, balance, recoil), what new parts would be required, and how long it would take to get it to production. I told my boss that we could use 1911 magazines if that was considered to be a sales advantage, or I could design a new magazine based on the 9mm variant. When magazine capacity goes down, consumers often want to move up in caliber so Ruger wanted to be ready to launch a .45 ACP version of that 9mm pistol.

I left Ruger when they told me I had to move to Prescott, AZ in order to stay with the company. The group I worked with couldn't care less if I were remote, but the plant manager was a power-hungry, control freak. It's a pity because it was a great company to work for, but as the saying goes, when one door closes another door opens.

My winter carry is a Ruger American 45 Compact and have no issues with it. Carrys nice in a shoulder holster.

So I'm thinking about a new Carry Gun, a little shop I go in has a Kimber Micro 9mm and it calls out my name and wants to come home with me.
Help anyone have one/experience with them. I'm seeing good and bad in reviews.

I used to carry a P365 (9mm) but recently switched to a Ruger 380 Max (LCP)

still have the 365... It stays on the night stand.

The 380 is slightly smaller and lighter. 10 rounds is great..... you can also get a 12 round mag... (not legal in the Constipation state. )

I know a lot of gun yahoos roll their eyes at a 380
But I'm quite certain 11 hollow point Zombie killers at center mass will ruin your day.

Sounds like you prefer the 1911 style anyway... The Micro 9 does look sweet.

I carried a Glock 22 (40 S&W) for years on duty with a Sheriff's office. Lots of mags and ammo. Retired, moved out of Cali-stan, and got a Concealed Carry permit. Got a Glock 27 for EDC, since all the ammo and 22 mags fit (although the 17 rounders stick out a bit . I know lots of folks don't like "plastic" weps, but they work well in my experience. JMHO. Top - stock 27+2 (12 total), middle - stock 22 (17 total), bottom - just for fun (33 total)

Yea, so I'm the Communist State of NY and can only have 10 rounds in anything. So 7 I can handle.
Thanks for your input, that's what I needed.

Most manufacturers have 10 round factory mags that meet commie regs. I purchased a pair of 10s for my EDC so that I can travel freely to DC and Maryland.

A few yrs ago a police officer getting ready for work was getting dressed at home...puts on his gun belt. Shoots himself in the thigh. His wife got home hours later and found him.
After that I went to carrying a revolver.
I do have plenty of pistols. Don't get me wrong. If the gun goes off I want to be pulling the trigger. Am I paranoid? Or cautious? Cautious I hope.
Here's your carry gun. Plenty of wallop to stop a rabid fox or fentinal user.

For WFM - My first CC was a Colt Detective Special with factory electroless nickel finish. You can poke a hole in anything within reasonable range just by wishing it had one with that little 6-rounder. Had it to the club's outdoor 25 yard range many years ago and noobs chuckled till they saw the holes in the paper. Silly me thought it was too purty so it got a less-than-pristine brother. Neither sees much use at all these later years.

Another was a new Springfield Compact Lightweight that was attacked with files, stones and WOD sandpaper, etc. about an hour after it left the gun shop. After rounding and smoothing it went out for a Robar NP3 finish.

At one point KelTec even made the cut. Cheap, stainless and with a belt clip it's a handy little pistol that has occasionally come along. Although it has never failed to go bang, it isn't one that inspires a great deal of confidence.

Then of course there's the G26, Smith 6904 (both top contenders, great pistols and never a worry about them going bang or ever becoming family heirlooms) a dehorned Colt Mustang, plus a few I'd surely be chastised for even mentioning

Sig P239 in 9mm. Fits like a glove; easy to stay on target. Sadly,
they discontinued it.

I also carried the Sig P239 but got tired of ending up with holes in my shirts. Switched to the P365 and have enjoyed it ever since.
