Downsizing from a cat2 NH to the BX. Tractor and implements on order or in the process of set up at dealer. One of the issues noted on a few YTube BX2380 videos was the relatively low durability of the connecting rod boot. Older videos viewed. IIRC, a few of the people noted only 2 y/o boots. All of them showed the cracked boot. Just viewed a "how to" simple replacement process. No need to really disassemble much. Just remember to count the number of threads exposed. Or maybe add realignment to the work list. The pita part was dealing with the retaining rings.

3y/o video. OEM boots were noted to cost $30 + another $10 for a set of retaining rings. Sure hope these $30 boots are an improved version. Has Kubota improved the quality of the boot?

Thats been a problem with the BX since the very first version. Good news is 20 years later most of them are still working fine without the boot. So unless you just enjoy replacing them i wouldn't worry about it.
