I finally got the mower mounted and mowed a bit. We only used it last year, so I don't have a lot of history and I usually mowed with earplugs, so may have not noticed. I engaged the pto and started mowing everything sounded fine until I turned my head- I guess technically, it may have still sounded fine even then, but I could hear a noise coming from the back. It wasn't a growl or a whine, or a grind. Well, maybe was a growly whine. I assume the pto is driven by the hst and that the fluid that raises the 3 point and the bucket, and drives the tranny drives the pto? Or is it gear driven? Was the noise just the gears spinning? Any thoughts appreciated.
