Hi. I just noticed that the front drive shaft (for 4WD) on my BX1970 has rubbed against a bolt at some point in the past. I have uploaded a picture. I think that this happened when the front end of the tractor flexed a little bit. It looks to me like the front end is on a center pivot so it is designed to flex a bit, but I am not 100% sure. Should it? Perhaps the problem is that the bolt sticks out too far and should be replaced with a shorter one? Any help is appreciated. In the picture you can see the slight damage to the driveshaft and also that the bolt has been rubbed against. They are not touching each other now, so I think it happened when the front end flexed. The left side of the picture is the front of the tractor.
